A little about New Beginnings:
Seventeen year old Ida's life is turned upside down when her best friend dies. Not long after, Ida discovers she is pregnant. As a result, her parents send to her be part of a volunteer program in Africa, hoping it will help Ida out of her funk, and discover who she is. While Ida isn't thrilled about being shipped off to Africa for six months, it ends up being a life-changing journey she will never forget.
