The Queen of Nothing

Leah Stuhler Season 3 Episode 7

Today I am chatting about the final book in Holly Black's The Folk of the Air series, The Queen of Nothing. Joining me today is Elise from the Novel Feelings podcast.

The Queen of Nothing wraps up Jude Duarte's story. We finally find out how her and Cardan truly feel about each other, discover if those rumors about him being nursed by a cat are true or not, find out what Jude's been up to in the human world, see what happens when a fae curse comes about, get immersed in faerie politics (again), and get to experience more of our favorite troublemaking faerie, Cardan.

It's a fantastic ending to this great series! So, join Elise and I as we chat all about it!

First 15 minutes are spoiler free!

A little about The Queen of Nothing:
Power is much easier to acquire than it is to hold onto. Jude learned this lesson when she released her control over the wicked king, Cardan, in exchange for immeasurable power.

Now as the exiled mortal Queen of Faerie, Jude is powerless and left reeling from Cardan's betrayal. She bides her time determined to reclaim everything he took from her. Opportunity arrives in the form of her twin sister, Taryn, whose life is in peril.

Jude must risk venturing back into the treacherous Faerie Court, and confront her lingering feelings for Cardan, if she wishes to save her sister. But Elfhame is not as she left it. War is brewing. As Jude slips deep within enemy lines she becomes ensnared in the conflict's bloody politics.

And, when a dormant yet powerful curse is unleashed, panic spreads throughout the land, forcing her to choose between her ambition and her humanity .
